Meet Lene
A life guided by breath, presence, and the quiet clarity of the Arctic.
Founder of The Arctic Villa & Northern Breath
Guiding breathwork sessions and teaching conscious connected breathing since 2018.
Lene McNair is a certified breathwork instructor, former actress, and the founder of The Arctic Villa and Northern Breath — guiding people back to the breath through the stillness and clarity of the Arctic.
Trained in Los Angeles, Lene has been guiding individuals and groups in conscious connected breathwork for several years. This powerful breathing technique — where inhale and exhale flow together without pause — helps the body enter a natural state of release, allowing tension, stress, and stored emotion to move and transform.
Her approach combines mindful breathing techniques, transformative breathwork, and grounding meditation, creating experiences that support emotional balance, inner clarity, and deeper connection to the body.
Guiding People Back to the Breath
Over the years, Lene has guided breathwork sessions for organizations and clients including Google and Elizabeth Arden, and has been invited to lead workshops and talks for cancer organizations and deaf and hard-of-hearing associations.
Her work has also been featured at festivals, museums, art exhibitions, shopping malls, and community events — where she has supported thousands of participants through her signature breathwork practices.
Lene’s Method
Over time, Lene has developed a structured approach to breathwork that combines practical breathing techniques with an understanding of how the nervous system regulates and adapts.
Her work includes three key elements:
BBB — Breath · Body · Being
A guided breathwork practice that trains the breath, helps shift internal state, and supports people in reconnecting with clarity and direction.
The State-Shift Model™
A framework describing how repeated experiences of safe regulation can help the nervous system build resilience and capacity over time.
ORSSI
A simple process used during sessions to guide participants through awareness, regulation, integration, and deeper self-connection.
Together these elements form the foundation of Lene’s work — helping people move from tension and overwhelm toward clarity, balance, and presence.
“Your breath is your inner compass.”
Life at The Arctic Villa
In 2019, Lene relocated from Los Angeles to Tromsø with her husband, musician Gabrial McNair, and their two daughters. Together they created The Arctic Villa, a unique place where breathwork, wellness, and the beauty of the Arctic landscape meet.
Today, Lene welcomes guests from around the world to experience the calm atmosphere of the Villa while continuing to guide her global breathwork community through Northern Breath.
She offers:
• private sessions
• group breathwork experiences
• corporate programs
• retreats
• live online classes
• an online membership community
Sessions typically range from 30 to 90 minutes and are available both in person and online.
Rooted in the quiet strength and clarity of the Arctic, Lene’s work invites people to breathe deeper, release gently, and reconnect with themselves.
