Founder of The Arctic Villa & Northern Breath
Lene McNair is the founder and director of The Arctic Villa and the creator of Northern Breath. A certified Breathwork instructor trained in Los Angeles, she has been guiding individuals and groups in conscious connected breathwork since 2018.
Conscious Connected Breathwork — the technique she specializes in — is a powerful breathing pattern where the inhale and exhale flow together without pause. This rhythm helps the body enter a state of release, allowing tension, stress, and stored emotion to move and transform.
Lene’s work centers around bringing people back to their breath through mindful breathing techniques, transformative breathwork, and grounding meditation.
Before dedicating herself to wellness, Lene spent two decades in Los Angeles working as an actress and public figure. She trained professionally at the renowned Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Hollywood and was crowned Miss Norway earlier in life. Her background in performance, presence, and human expression deeply informs her grounded and compassionate approach to transformation. She blends modern science with ancient wisdom, making breathwork both accessible and deeply impactful.
Lene has guided sessions for clients such as Google and beauty icon Elizabeth Arden, and she has been invited to speak and lead workshops for cancer organizations and deaf and hard-of-hearing associations. Her work has also been featured at festivals, museums, shopping malls, and art exhibitions — supporting thousands through her signature practices.
In 2019, Lene relocated from Los Angeles to Tromsø with her husband, musician Gabrial McNair, and their two daughters, Pangea and Isis. Today, she lovingly operates The Arctic Villa, welcoming guests from all over the world to experience the beauty and stillness of the north — while continuing to lead her global breathwork community, Northern Breath.
She offers private sessions, group classes, corporate programs, and a growing online membership. Her breathwork sessions, ranging from 30 to 90 minutes, are available in person or online via Zoom.
Rooted in the quiet strength and clarity of the Arctic, Lene’s work continues to inspire people across the world to breathe deeper, release gently, and reconnect with themselves.
